    • Open Day in Kruczek – April 16, 2026

      28.05.2026 20:16

On April 16, 2026, our school hosted an Open Day that brought together numerous prospective students and their parents. We sincerely thank everyone for attending and taking part in this special celebration of our school community.
The event began with a meeting with the Head, Joanna Wojtynek, who introduced guests to the spirit of the school, presenting its values, educational offer, and everyday student life. Afterwards, teachers answered visitors’ questions, sharing their knowledge and experience.
Many attractions were prepared for the guests. Demonstrations and presentations took place in the biology, chemistry, and geography classrooms, offering a fascinating glimpse into the world of science. Our students played a major role in the event — they guided visitors around the school, talked about school life, and presented the events and initiatives that create the unique atmosphere of our institution.
A special highlight of the program was an outdoor welcome concert held on the school sports field. It was a great opportunity for integration and shared celebration.
On that day, the school was filled with a joyful, energetic atmosphere — it was lively, cheerful, and very welcoming. We hope this meeting helped future students get to know our school better and feel part of it.
Once again, thank you for your presence, and see you in September!

    • “Between Moments” – Exhibition Opening

      28.05.2026 20:13

On the World Art Day, April 15 this year, the opening of Ewa Matras’s painting exhibition took place at the School Gallery of Painting and Graphic Arts of Leon Kruczkowski High School No. 1 in Tychy.
The event attracted art enthusiasts as well as members of the local artistic community, who honored us with their presence. The meeting provided an opportunity not only for personal contact with the artist and her work, but also for conversations about inspirations and interpretations.
The exhibited works were presented in three series: “Land-scapes,” “Stair-ways,” and “Lunar Tales.” Each of these became an inspiration for the students to create their own surprising interpretations — including poetic reflections — which the students of our school shared with the guests. The girls drew attention to the color schemes and forms of the paintings, as well as to the richness of motifs taken from everyday life and the symbolic themes encouraging reflection. The analytical and interpretative presentations were met with enthusiastic reception.
At the end of the event, the pricipal of our school, Joanna Wojtynek, thanked Ewa Matras for her openness and presence in the School Gallery space. Afterwards, the artist herself spoke, clearly moved, expressing her personal gratitude.
The meeting took place in a warm and artistically inspiring atmosphere. We would like to thank Ewa Matras, her loved ones, friends, and all guests for attending in such great numbers and for helping create this unique atmosphere.
The exhibition can be viewed until May 31 at the School Gallery of Painting and Graphic Arts in our school.

On April 15, a group of senior class students took part in the Spring Open Day at the University of Economics in Katowice.
The event began with a speech by Professor Robert Wolny, Vice-Rector for Development and Cooperation with the Environment. Afterwards, the students attended several short lectures: Dr. Ewa Wójcik’s lecture “Your Decisions, Your Future, Your Planet” (professions of the future are “green jobs”), Marcin Pałys, M.A.’s lecture “Do You Want to Become an Influencer? New Media as a Career Path” (influencing is part of contemporary culture), and Dr. Jolanta Gałuszka’s lecture “Smart Money – A Modern Approach to Personal Finance” (wealth begins with principles, not with earnings).
Participants of the Open Day also had the opportunity to learn more about the university’s fields of study and educational offer.

    • 🏛️ Our Student’s Success in the Final of the Polish Senate Competition!

      28.05.2026 20:10

On April 14, the headquarters of the Senate of the Republic of Poland hosted the final of the nationwide competition “Getting to Know the Senate of the Republic of Poland.” This prestigious event aims to promote knowledge about the history and activities of the Senate and encourage young people to take an active interest in public life.
We are extremely proud to announce that our student – Oscar Lenart – achieved 4th place and received a special distinction 👏
The competition is organized under the patronage of the Marshal of the Senate, in cooperation with senators’ offices — in our case, with Senator Andrzej Dziuba.
This year’s edition of the competition attracted more than 1,600 students from across Poland, and only 37 of the best participants qualified for the final stage. This makes the excellent result and the presence of our representative among the most outstanding young enthusiasts of civic knowledge even more impressive.
We warmly congratulate Oscar on this achievement, his impressive knowledge, and dedication. We wish him continued success and the opportunity to further develop his passion! 🎓💪
Congratulations also go to all participants of the competition.

    • The “Social Study” Team as Part of the “Zwolnieni z Teorii” Olympiad at the STO Primary School in Tychy

      28.05.2026 20:11

The “Social Study” team, established by students from class 2c as part of the “Zwolnieni z Teorii” Olympiad, conducted a series of three workshops at the Joseph Conrad-Korzeniowski STO Primary School in Tychy. The aim of the project was to combine learning with practical activities and to develop the interests of primary school students in an accessible and engaging way.
The first workshop took place on March 6 and focused on the topic “The Anatomy of Dance.” Together with students from class 2b, the organizers danced and also gave a short presentation about muscles — their structure, function, and the role they play in dance.
The second meeting was held on March 30, 2026, under the title “Chemical Fun.” During the workshop, with the support of Ms. Anna Mirowska — a chemistry teacher at our school — the students carried out interesting experiments and chemical reactions with class 4b students, generating great enthusiasm among the participants.
The final workshop took place on March 31, 2026, under the theme “Chemical Anatomy.” The meeting began with a presentation about how the human body functions, after which the students once again combined learning with movement by leading dance activities with the children.
The implementation of the “Social Study” project allowed the students to develop their social, communication, and organizational skills, while also promoting knowledge among younger students in an interesting and engaging way.
