From 6 to 11 September 2026, students from classes 4d4, 4e and 4m embarked on an unforgettable journey through Germany, Denmark and Sweden.
It was a fantastic six-day trip filled with new experiences, fascinating places, cultural discoveries and, of course, plenty of time spent together.
The students were accompanied by their form tutors: Ms Małgorzata Pawlik-Pszczółka, Ms Agata Nycz, Ms Joanna Gawor and Ms Ruta Seidel.
Our adventure began with an overnight journey to Berlin, where we explored some of the German capital’s best-known landmarks, including Unter den Linden, the Victory Column, Alexanderplatz, the Holocaust Memorial and the world-famous Museum Island. We also took a boat cruise along the River Spree, enjoying a different perspective on the city and its impressive architecture.
The next part of our journey took us north to Scandinavia. In Denmark, we explored Copenhagen, taking in its iconic Little Mermaid statue, Amalienborg Palace and the colourful and picturesque Nyhavn harbour. We also travelled to Helsingør, home to Kronborg Castle – the legendary “Castle of Hamlet”.
Our Swedish adventure included visits to the picturesque towns of Ystad, Lund and Malmö, as well as the beautiful island of Bornholm, often known as the “Majorca of the Baltic”. Its spectacular coastline, cliffs and the ruins of Hammershus Castle made a lasting impression.
One of the highlights of the entire trip was our visit to Ales Stenar, Sweden’s fascinating answer to Stonehenge. The site consists of 59 enormous stones arranged in the shape of a ship and dates back to between 500 and 1000 AD. Set dramatically on a cliff overlooking the Baltic Sea, it was a truly impressive place – and one that encouraged us to reflect on the history and mysteries of ancient cultures.
But the trip was about much more than sightseeing. It was also a great opportunity to strengthen friendships, integrate across classes and create shared memories. From exploring new places together to evening conversations, every day brought something new.
We returned to Tychy on the evening of 11 September, tired but full of unforgettable memories and stories to share.
